Tens of thousands of factories have been discharging untreated wastewater into China's rivers for decades. The consequences are dramatic health problems for the population. Some Chinese environmental activists are now waging a committed fight against this unscrupulous environmental pollution. In the so-called “cancer villages” along the contaminated rivers in eastern China, they support the victims of the creeping poisoning.
